ZED Engineered Systems Ltd (formerly ZED Tunnel Guidance Ltd) provides electronic and engineering design services alongside in-house PCB manufacturing and assembly from West Molesey, Surrey. Production covers surface-mount and through-hole assembly using lead-free soldering, verified by functional testing, with low-volume runs on a turnkey or customer-supplied component basis. Building on tunnel guidance technology pioneered in 1977, the business was established as ZED Tunnel Guidance in 2002 and renamed ZED Engineered Systems in 2023 as it broadened into a wider range of engineered systems for demanding underground and industrial environments, and is now part of the VMT GmbH group.
