Bytec Embedded designs and manufactures ruggedised human-machine interface equipment, including wipe-clean industrial keyboards, control panels and instrument monitors, for transport, rail, defence, healthcare and industrial applications. Its Indi-Key industrial keyboard range is a long-running product line, now in its second generation. The company is the Bytec Group's embedded-equipment arm and operates from Rock Business Park in Washington, near Pulborough, alongside sister company Bytec Systems.

Box build covers electro-mechanical assembly, potting and cable and wire harness work, in prototype to medium volumes. The wider group adds thick-film ceramic circuits, wire bonding, vacuum soldering and hermetic modules, with IATF 16949 and AS/EN 9100 held at its Belgian and Canadian sites. Customers span aerospace and defence, automotive, rail and industrial customers.

MPE Electronics

MPE Electronics is an ISO 9001:2015 certified contract electronics manufacturer based in Uckfield, East Sussex, trading under the MPE name since 1991 with a team of around 50 IPC-A-610-certified staff across four production units. The company builds surface-mount, through-hole and mixed assemblies to IPC Class 3 on rigid, flexible, rigid-flex and ceramic boards, using reflow, wave and hand soldering, with full or partial turnkey component supply, free-issue accepted, and conformal coating, potting and encapsulation available. Every board is inspected individually, and box-build work extends to enclosure and electro-mechanical assembly, wiring looms, firmware programming, final test, packaging and distribution, in high-mix, low-to-medium volumes from single prototypes to batches of 10,000.
